5I think the question itself is a bit off. Being gay isn't a choice or a 'why' thing, it's just how some people are wired for love and attraction. It's like asking someone 'why are you left-handed?'
I get why someone might be curious. If you've only ever felt straight, it can be hard to understand. But for me, it was never a decision. I just realized the feelings I had for my same-sex friend were the same as what others described for the opposite sex.
Why does it matter? Seriously. As long as people are happy and not hurting anyone, who cares who they love? The real question is why we're still asking this in this day and age.
Are you asking because you're genuinely trying to understand, or are you implying there's something wrong with it? The tone of 'Seriously Why??' makes it sound like you see it as a problem.
From a biological perspective, same-sex attraction exists in hundreds of animal species too. It's a natural part of life's diversity. So the answer might simply be: it's a normal variation in nature.
