“Console exclusives are bad for gamers and hold the industry back.”
Exclusive games force you to buy a specific box just to play. This splits friends up and makes gaming more expensive. If all games were on all platforms, developers would reach more people and we could all play together. It's just corporate greed.

2I agree, especially about splitting friends up. My whole friend group is on Xbox, but I really want to play the new Spider-Man. Now I have to choose between buying a whole new console or missing out on experiences with them. It feels like a forced, expensive choice that punishes players for their initial platform loyalty.
Isn't that oversimplifying? Exclusives often exist because the platform holder funded the game's development, taking a big financial risk. Without that, games like God of War or Zelda might not exist in their current form. Isn't that investment a valid reason for exclusivity, rather than just greed?
