Disagree. You absolutely can see players' emotions—camera cuts to their faces during tense moments show intense focus, joy, or devastation. The 'human drama' is there, just in a different setting.
Isn't 'hard to follow' true for any specialized activity? Could the issue be familiarity? A cricket novice might find that confusing too. Does accessibility define how boring something is?
